SLEEPS 2 - 1 Bedroom - 1 Bathroom

The West Wing is ideally located behind the Wallace Arms Pub at Featherstone, just off the South Tynedale Trail. The 1 bed self-catering holiday cottage was once part of the old kitchen and dining room at the pub but has been separated off and recently refurbished to a high standard.

There is ample parking and a shared garden with the pub. Feel free to use the BBQ when the weather permits and enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

The cottage has an inviting front and of course a beautiful The West Wing iron sign. The small entrance hall leads directly into the open plan kitchen, dining and living area.

The well equipped kitchen has ample space for 2 to cook and eat comfortably, with modern decor and the beautiful electric range cooker. There are both a washer and dryer and a fridge and freezer to make you stay even more comfortable.

A fold out table is provided (stored under the stairs) should you want to eat at a table and not the breakfast bar.

Cosy up in the living room where the wall are donned with beautiful pictures of the local area, an electric fire and TV with Netflix.

Upstairs is a large bedroom with kingsize bed and en-suite bathroom containing a shower. The room is tastefully decorated with a dresser and bedside tables for a minimalistic look and there are views over the South Tynedale Trail and the surrounds countryside from the window.

Absolutely excellent

We have just spent four days at this lovely, brand new cottage and everything from the amenities to the warmth and kindness of the hosts was impeccable. We will definitely return at the earliest opportunity and I am sure we will need to book early because when word gets out this place is sure to be in demand. The pub next door (The Wallace Arms), also run by the hosts, is warm and cosy with a roaring fire and everything you could ask of a country pub. All in all, very highly recommended.

We had a lovely weekend in this newly opened cottage could not have asked for a better welcome off the owners there was a lovely welcome pack of biscuits and milk tea coffee sugar and fresh flowers also a box of chocolates with a message on welcoming us as there first guests . It was a lovely gesture . They couldn't have been more attentive asking us if everything was OK and did we need anything else . The cottage itself is very well furnished to a high standard and very comfortable there is central heating and also a electric fire which we just put on for ambiance .tv with plenty of channels and netflix if you want to watch a film . The cottage is next to the pub where you get a lovely welcome from the locals well worth a visit
